My name is Jack Wilcox, and I’m an industrial designer based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design in 2022, and since then have been working professionally to bring thoughtful,
well-crafted ideas into reality.
Over the last 3 years, I’ve been able to work at Laut Design, across a wide range of projects, allowing me to greatly expand my experience and develop a broad, well-rounded skill set. Rather than specializing in a single area, my work changes day to day—giving me the exposure to every stage of the design process and a window into many industries.
I combine a strong design process and proven concepts, balancing creativity, technical problem-solving, and attention to detail to create solutions that are both functional and meaningful. I enjoy the full arc of design, from quick exploratory sketches to refined,
high-detail renderings, and most especially physical prototyping
I am particularly interested in the storytelling involved with design—how objects communicate, create experiences, and connect with people. and applying the design process I’ve learned to the world around me.
